San Diego Trip Day 3

Day 3 was LEGOLAND:  One of the best things that happened on the trip was when we stopped to eat lunch in Holbrook AZ.  We stopped at Burgerking and I dont usually get the kids meals anymore but this time I let O and Ay get one.  We looked at the little box and it has Legoland stuff on it.  Then I was looking at the silly little crowns they give you and they were FREE kids tickets to Legoland.  That trip to burgerking saved us $130 on entrance fees!  WooHoo.  Which was a good thing because food in these places is ridiculous.  5 hotdog meals were $48, but that was to be expected.  The weather was in the mid 60's and the sun would peek out every now and then.
In this photo Greg is saying "stop taking so many pictures we havent even gotten in yet"
That is one big lego dino

This was a fun little ride on a sky track.
Here are the boys after the ride.

We went on a lego animal safari

The boys drove through this lego city and earned thier driver's licences.
These were fun cars that you had to race down a track and then put a fire out and then drive back.

The boys went through a section where you saw how legos were made.  They had old printing plates and you could see all the inner workings of the machines.  This was right up thier alley.

They stopped to talk to an old man, but he didnt say much.  And then O decided to pick his nose!

Loved this Indain Rug out of legos

O made sure we saw everything and he did a great job!

I want a climbing wall like this on the back of the house!

The boys got eatten alive, it was pretty gruesome!
This is the coolest playground I have ever seen.  When I win the lottery..... THIS will be in my backyard! 4 stories and slides everywhere.  The photos dont show hardly any of it.

Lego boats, the boys crashed together and couldnt get unstuck the rest of the ride.
O went on his 1st two roller coasters at Legoland.  Just ask him about "THE DRAGON" sometime.

This section was HEAVEN ON EARTH, to the boys.  It was Star Wars planets made out of Legos (actual Legos).  They were huge!

Aside from the Star Wars they had cities built out of Legos.  The NY skyline, downtown New Orleans, Seattle, Las Vegas, Washington, etc, and some even had moving cars.

This roller coaster was stinkin' fun and stinkin' scarey at the same time.  Little 4 seater jobbers that made you feel like you were going off the track at every corner.

Ay and O loved the big Bionicles.  There was a Bionicle ride (exactly like the tea cups at Disney).  I do NOT do the tea cups because it totally makes me puke.  So O and I watched Dad and the boys.
This is Dad trying really hard to spin the cup as fast as he could.
We met Einstein!

Little boat tour around the park.  They were so intrigued!

Made a detour and went by Mt Rushmore, I think they said there was a million legos

It was a long and fun day.  The boys loved it and say it was one of the highlights of the trip.  Definalty cool what they can do with a plastic block, thats for sure!
