Photos from the month

I keep forgetting why I have not posted and this time I remembered.  They have totally changed the format of blogspot and I hate figuring out new stuff.  Anyway my rant is over and I prevailed so here is a new post.
Over the past month I have been doing some projects around the house.  I got some sheetrock for my birthday and it was the best present ever.  My dad helped me put up the big pieces and then I filled in around.  Got everything taped and mud on the seams.  I managed to only drop 3 globs of mud 1 on each foot and the 1 (of course) in the bucket of screws.

My other project was re-painting my dining room.  I absolutly LOVE the way it turned out.  I am going to continue these colors in the new dining room/sun room, once it gets finished.

Greg has been fixing our old tandom bike.  Along with ours he fixed up my neighbors as well.  The boys love test driving them as he goes.  I think O had the best time.

Em signed up for a tournament called Turf Wars 3on3.  He had a team of 4 and for an entire week I had them convinced that they were going to be called "The Sweet Peas".  When I told Em he was so mad, he could not believe that I would actually do that to him.  The funniest part about the whole thing was by the end of the week, they actually liked the name.

Here is the shirts that I made for them.  Their real name was "Dust Devils".  It was a crazy tounament and they played against 2 teams that were so good.  One team had 5 members who play High School soccer. Our team was made up of 2 11yr olds and 2 12yr olds.  One of the girls on the high school  team was an older sister to one of the boys on Em's team.  So they practiced with them all week.  A great group of kids  for sure.  So they ended up loosing the 1st,2nd, and 3rd games.  After the 3rd loss the boys were so bummed, they were playing so good and playing against kids that were so much bigger.  They got ready for the 4th game and the older kids decided to split up so 2 of our boys went to theirs and 2 of thiers joined the Dust Devils.  The game was great, since they had all been practicing together it made it fun because we were cheering for both teams.  They smiled, laughed, played like crazy.  The older kids won from the points they had earned in the previous 3 games.  When you win you get a shirt that says "You Cant Buy This Shirt (on the front) , You Earn It (on the back). then it has the Turf Wars logo and such.  The older kids game Em's team their shirts and I almost cried.  It was so cool and it was so cool to see the Dust Devils on cloud nine.  Such a great group of kids.

Field Day is  one of the funnest days at school.  There are so many fun activities outside, fun food, and even a dunk tank where you can dunk your favorite teacher.  At the end of the day the firetruck comes and sprays the kids.  It is so fun to watch the kids once they see the truck come around the corner.  It is a mad dash to the fence to be in the perfect spot. This is Ay after he decided he'd had enough of the cold water.

This kid is so stinkin cute and he LOVES his "wawa-men men", well thats what he use to call it anyway.  But I still hear it in my head when ever he asks for Watermelon.

Our favorite skate shop had its 1 yr birthday party.  So we went to the party and the best part is that DQ is right next door.  After we visited we decided it was time for some ice cream.
Mr. Dilly Bar

Mr. Milkshake

Mr. Bottomless pit, I mean Mr. Banana Split

Ay finished his soccer season and had a great after party at Big Bounce.  He was super excited when his team got medals for the season

We have a great lawn this year....... but the boys would rather be in the mud.

Mr.O is the most daring kid.  Nothing really scares him and he is always using his imagination.  He is never still for more than 15 min and if he's quite then I need to be worried.  As much as I love this kid, I have to say, he wears me out.  I think he has at least a dozen guardian angels because one is simply not enough.  We have a little zipline that we made at the Gallery and he pus his stuffed animals on it and he sends them down.  And when I say little I really mean it, it is a piece of cotton thread. We attach little carabiners to the animals to go down.  O climbed up the ladder and got tangled in the string but didnt know it and when he jumped off the ladder, he got a major rope burn.  It blistered up and hurt for about 5 hours.  Poor little guy. He is all healed up and he did learn a lesson, we will see how long he remembers.

Our neighbors found a Harley Davison at a garage sale. She was going to give it to her 24 yr old son as a gag gift but it never happened.  They decided that it was perfect for O and he loves it.  It is battery powered and it even has turbo!

I can't remember if I posted photos of the flowers I made for my cousins little girl.  Her mom made the cutest basket of cupcakes and put these flowers on them.

One of the funnest things at Pop-T's right now is the tadpols.  The boys love catching them every time we go out to see if they are getting legs yet.

This guy is almost a teenager, yes I said teenager, I still can't beleive it.  He is having a few tweenage moments that drive me nuts, but for the most part he is a great guy.  This is Em with an entire jello egg in his mouth.  What a goof.

This little guy loves the letter O and he loves icecream.  So how cool is it when you get an icecream that looks like an O and has the exact same belly button as you do.  This is one of my favorite pictures because he was so excited and I love his cinnamon roll belly button.
