Another Day at the Office

The past couple of weeks have been crazy for Greg at work. A couple of weeks ago he got a call from the bomb squad (boys thought that was the coolest thing ever.. me not so much) that they had an informant tell them that there was a threat against the Jugde that he is security for. So when this particular gentelman (scratch that not a gentelman a meth head) went in for his trial someone was going to bring in an explosive that had to be hand detonated. Greg got word that the girlfriend would be bringing it in, so he stood behind her durning trial. Then last week he got another call that there was a bomb in play. YIKES a real one and no one knew if it was real or just a threat. The bomb squad decided to show up at the meth heads house and they got a search warrent. They found 2 live bombs and tons of material to make more. Informant said that 2 to 3 others have been made. They were made out of a tin can full of nails and bebe's. These had a trigger on them so they would put them in the ground and someone would have to step on them. YIKES AGAIN. So the morning after the raid, Greg got to be incident commander and help clear the courthouse. At lunch he got to do debreifing with the Sherriffs office, bomb squad and the FBI. Um ya, I just said the FBI. What the heck!!! Then out of no where we got this crazy snow storm and the courts were closed on Friday. YEAH!!! The phone rang Sunday night... "who was that",- "Oh it was the US Marshals Office they are going to meet me at the courthouse at 6:30 Monday morning with the bomb sniffing dog to search the building". Yep, here we go again, another crazy week at the courthouse.........
