Presidents Weekend Getaway

We started our weekend with District Science Fair. Em got 1st at his school in the Physics Catagory. He placed 2nd at District and gets to go to Regionals the 2nd weekend in March. He is so excited about it. His quote when he won 1st was "Ya know mom, it takes a whole lot of loosing to be a winner." Man, I love this kid!

We went to visit my dad at the Capitol and these M&M's were on his desk. Some said "Leader Taylor" or "House Repub's" or "NM House". They were O's favorite part of the whole day!

The boys had the honor of being Pages for my dad on Monday. They got a tour of the Capitol and then got to sit on the floor during session. They had a good time, but if you were to ask them they would say, "well it was cool but it was kinda boring!"

We also visited the Children's Museum. We have loved going there and have fun memories. Although the boys realized that it isn't quite as fun when you get older. It reallly is for kids 6 and under it seems. So they wandered around and would do some of the stuff and help O but we didn't stay to long.
You could make the biggest bubbles I have ever seen with this mixture.

O had a blast with this, all the other kids would make trails for the water. Then O would throw the ball to the end and watch it come down the trail they had made. In the 1 1/2 hours we were there, he was here for an hour of it.

Anything with water and the boys were there. They are drawn to water, or dirt, or both.

This was one of the "older kid" things to do. It was a pully system and there was 2, 4 or 6 ropes and the less ropes the harder it was to pull yourself up.
O kept saying "mom dis weel feeky"
I had one suprise for Em and Ay this weekend. I suprised them with tickets to Monster Jam. It was not as great as I thought it would be. The trucks would come out for like 5 min and do a little somethig and then leave. Then we'd watch quad-racing or guys playing with toys that they were selling. It was kind of boring because there was so much down time. Greg called it a Redneck Circus and it pretty much was. I forgot my camera so I took these with my phone, ah well what-cha-gunna do right!

This truck is called Monster Mutt.

I remember going to Monster Jam. The noise was horrible! Aztec Speedway was way better.

I had no idea your dad was a representative now. That's awesome! I hope that means he's feeling good!
