Grand Canyon

In the beginning of Aug we headed to the Grand Canyon.  We were meeting in Williams for a Churchill Cousin Reunion.  We left on a Thurs. morning and headed out on our trip.  We stopped for lunch at Carl's Jr.  In the kids meal there were toys from that new Pirate Movie (cant remember the name).  So O got the hat and 2 paper mustaches and Ay got a pirate flag. 

About 15 miles out of Winslow THIS happened.  Thankfully we were near a town that had a Walmart.  So after 4 new shoes, we were on the road again.

We made it to Williams and found our little spot.

We met up with some of Gregs cousins.

The boys had a great time hanging out and getting to know their 2nd cousins.

On Friday morning after breakfast we all carvaned to the Grand Canyon for a picnic and a hike.

We all got together for our picnic.

Then we saw the Canyon.  Just as amazing as I remembered it.

When we got back the kids tried to find some gold...... they didnt find any.

Then it was time for swimming.

Each night we had campfire.  We talked, roasted marshmellow, the boys played football.

My little guy brings me flowers all the time.  ***love him***

Sat morning we had to leave.  Greg remembered that he booked the Theatre and so we had to get back Sat night.  The rest of the crew stayed till Sunday and some even hung out till Mon morning.  It was great, and we have decided to do it again next year.
