Labor Day Weekend

This Labor Day Weekend I wanted to get my family together. I didn't want to drive clear to Denver and my brothers didn't want to drive down here. So I started looking for things half way. I thought the boys would love the Great Sand Dunes so that became our destination. I found a KOA in Alamsoa, we had 2 trailors and 2 tents. Not really any agenda, just wanted to hang out with my family. It was great, the weather was good (a little chilly at night) and I think everyone had a great time. We all started arriving throughout the evening on Friday. On Sat. we headed out to the Dunes.
Here is the whole gang at the Dunes.

Here is part of the gang headed up so sled, ski, and play on the dunes.

This was so cute. They headed out to go sled down the dunes but after about 50 yards they turned around. They just played in the sand by grandma the rest of the time.

Grandma got to hang out with her little girl and watch the boys play in the sand.

Ay got stuck in the sand.

After hours of playing we stopped and had a picnic.

After all the fun it was time to clean off faces so the sand didnt get in eyes.

But when sand did get in the eyes, Uncle Greg was there to help wash it all out.

Here's my little family at the Dunes.

Here was the 2 3yr olds playing at the campground. They loved getting to play all day.

Here was our little site. Not much but it was fun.

One night we had a rainbow over my folks trailor.

There was a playground at the KOA. At one point there were 17 boys and 1 little girl playing. The older boys played with all of the other boys. O and C loved the swings, they did this for a LONG time.

Here we are just hanging at one of the tent sites. One of the tents was taken down and packed up but it didnt stop the fun.

Had to take a picture of one of our lunches. We had great food!

Here is the ONLY girl on the Taylor side and dang she's cute. Her eyes are AMAZING. She was so happy and I loved getting to spend time with her.

One day we went to a Gator Farm. It started out as a Halibut farm and they got a couple gators to eat the dead fish. The gators beacme part of the attraction and it aslo became a reserve for wounded gators and for gators who's owners did not want them anymore. The also had all kinds of reptiles and it was fun to see Tortoises walking around. O was more scared of the Tortoises than the Gators. It was kind of funny.

There was a little pond that had a bunch of Gators and we watched a guy wrestle them.

They were watching the guy wrestle the gator.

We got a bucket of food and we got to feed them as we walked around.

My dad wanted this one to open his mouth.

O thought the gators were "so cool"!

Em thought it was cool to get to touch these guys

Em even got to hold one at the end. Even got a certificate for it. We wanted to get a family picture but Ay would not have anything to do with it. Once they brought out the gator, he was gone. So my dad steped in for this one.

O came home with 4 toy gators and Em put a glow stick in one.

My dad and I went on a hike to a waterfall. There was a good 50 people on this little 1/2 mile trail. It was crazy to see all the people in line for a shot of the falls. It was really pretty.

Here is my dad and this photo proves that he is still just a big kid. Really, why can boys not eat smores without getting it all over them. Hahahaha

We all parted ways on Monday moring. Me and my guys stopped and spent 4 hours soaking in the hot pots at Pagosa.

O got so sleepy, he almost fell asleep on daddy's back.
Hot Pottin'

Takin a break from the warm water to play in the river.
What a great weekend. As my boys said "mom that weekend felt like it was a whole week."
