The boys and I just got home from 9 days at Ghost Ranch. My mom and I went to the Literally Letters seminar for 1 of the 2 weeks. This time we went a couple of days early because at the end of each week there is a little party and everyone shows off the work they did. So we went to see all of our friends from previous years. So then the next morning everyone was leaving and most of the Ranch is closed so we took the boys to Santa Fe for the day. We stopped at the Tesuque Flee Market, the Childrens Museum and ran a few errands. The boys had such a fun time at the Childrens Museum, I think we were there for 3 hours. Definatly worth the $2.

O loved the bubbles and anything with water. He could have stayed all day.

Em made some amazing bubbles.

Ay tried and tried and every time he'd make a bubble I'd miss it. This was as close as we got to a photo with a bubble. His cute hat we found at the flea market.
This was a fun table, the little metal thingy's were so fun and it felt really cool on your hands.

Part of the traveling show at the Museum was of BUGS. They displays were AMAZING. This one is all Butterflies, every shape, every color, every size. It was beautiful.

This was mostly spiders, some scorpions and other weird bugs. WOW, I had no idea how big some of those spiders are. I will never complain about the spiders I find in my house.

This is the biggest Stick Bug I've ever seen and the bottom one was like a flying stick bug.

O LOVED the water stuff, he left soaking wet but he had so much fun. I loved watching him watch other kids, discovering new things, and just being a boy.

While O was playing with the water, the older boys were waiting in line to climb the wall. The last couple of times we were there the wall was closed, so this time it was great for everyone. Ay did great, when he got down he said "Man, my legs just started shaking, you gotta be stong".

Em made it to the top. He just scurried right up like it was nothin'.

Every time we have gone to the Museum it has been in the winter, so we didnt even realize how much they had outside. They had these great musical insterments made out of junk that the kids could play.

We always have to eat at El Farolito's when we are at Ghost Ranch. It is in a little town called El Rito. The resturant is so timy literally like 20ft across and 40 ft long, seats 30. The food is good but sometimes you have to wait too long for food.

My mom and the boys would play I SPY to pass the time. P.S.- there is no zoom on the camera, I am sitting at the wall on the other side!

So then on Monday things did not start till 6 at the Ranch so we packed up the boys again and went and visited some of the little towns. We went to the little town of Abiqui, but your not allowed to take pictures so I dont have any. We showed the boys were Georgia O'keefe lived and some of the places she painted. Then we went to the little town of Chimayo. I have always heard about it church in Chimayo and the pilgrimage each year at Easter, so I wanted to go see it. The boys saw a Gift Shop and got excited ( they are always looking for toys). So we went in and it was all candles, rosaries, little bible nic-naks. When we left Ay says "I didnt see the gift shop, where was all the toys", hahaha loved it.

Loved this wall. I dont know why, I just do!

There is a very OLD adobe house that was made into a resturant in Chimyo, cant remember the name. We went to eat there the night before but couldnt find it. The next day, there it was! It was a darker color and the red ristra's were great. What a fun little place, definatly want to eat there next year.

So then it was time to start our week at the Ranch.

As you drive in, there is this old cabin. It looks like a plain ol' cabin, but it has quite a story. This is THE cabin in City Slickers!!! There have been quite a few movies shot in Ghost Ranch. Cowboys and Aliens w/ Harrison Ford (which comes out sometime this summer) was shot there, and Johnny Depp will be there in Nov. because they are shooting the Lone Ranger, Johnny will be playing Tonto. How FUN!

This was our house for 9 days, by day 6 it was a little too small, but it was great. We sure do love our little trailor.

The campground is on one side of a hill and the boys classes were on the other. My class was on top of the hill. So everyday we'd eat breakfast, then head up the hill, over the top, down the hill to the kids class, then I'd go back up the hill to class, down the hill to get them, up the hill, down the hill the trailor.... all with O on my back most of the time. Up and Down at least 5 to 8 times a day! I recruited Em a couple of times beacuse my back was sore. And there was a couple of times that Mr. O actually walked himself. This I think was my most favorite photo from the trip.

I'm at the top of the hill, this is O going down the trail to the campground.

This is on top of the hill. We were headed to class. Check out the view. The Mtn above Em's head is called Pedernal. Georgia O'keefe said that if he painted it enough, God would make it hers.

Half way through the week my camera broke. So I did take a few with my phone, the rest are from my phone. Not great pics but they captured my moments. The boys went to the pool a couple of times. The water is FREEZING, you'd think that with it being in the high 90's the pool would be warmer!

There are 2 pools, one is just 3 feet deep and the other is 4 - 13 feet.

Ay couldnt decide if it was warm enough. He had also crashed on his bike the day before and was worried that it would sting. But he said the cold water felt good on it, after he got in.

Here's a shot of my workspace. I didnt get a picture with my teacher on my camera. I did get one on my mom's but I may never see it, hahaha, unless I hijack her camera somehow.

So that was our latest adventure. We had a great time and though I was sparse on the photos the one's I got, captured the moments I want to remember. Fun Fun Fun :)
