January has come and gone

We have had some amazing weather so far this year. The weather has been perfect for longboarding. Love this shot of the guys taking a break.

You know me, I love to post about our owie's. The day before Christmas Eve I cut under my nail with a piece of porcelain. About a week and a half later it got infected, my finger was so swollen and red. I thought maybe I had gotten a splinter. A few x-rays later I learned it was just infected and got an Rx. It took 2 more weeks before it was back to normal. Sheesh, what a pain.
The next owie of the month was this. This is what happens when you open the door and you dont know your child is right on the other side.
This is so messy, but the boys LOVE to play with it and it cleans up easy. It is a fun chemistry experiment with water and corn starch. It is a solid AND a liquid. If you play with it- hit it, roll it- it is a little solid mass, but if you leave it alone it will run like a liquid. So fun.


My nephews b-day was the 7th and he loves Beyblade (super cool spinning tops). So I made him a Beyblade arena and beyblades. It was so fun to make.
This year I have decided to make bread instead of buy it. My sister found a yummy recipe and it is pretty easy (if the sun is shinning).

We did get snow one day. It started snowing just as the kids got to school. We got about 3 inches, but it was all melted and the sun was out before they got home :0(
O will climb anything.
One weekend Greg and Em had a boy scout campout and O spent the night with my mom. So Ay and I had a date. We went and got Japanese and then went bowling. It was a very expensive date ($70) but totally worth hanging out just he and I.
Um, yes- these are my boys. Weird O's. hahahahahahaha
Our purple couches are the best static machines. Ay played with a group of violin students at Mozarts birthday party. I made 104 cupcakes for the party and sold all but 5, yeah!!!

So that was our January in a nutshell. It went by so fast. Oh, Happy New Year.
