I am a little shocked that summer vacation is over. It went by so fast (although not soon enough at times) and we didnt really do much. Most of our adventures were in June so where did the other 2 months go? Even though the end of summer came quickly the boys were ready to start school. This year is quite different for me because usually when I put one in pre-school I have a baby to take care of. So this amazing thing has happened...... I HAVE THE MORNINGS TO MYSELF!!! Oh yes people, I am so looking forward to this. So this morning was my 1st morning and I went and swam a mile. Tomorrow, who knows! Ok sorry I was lost in the excitment of things to do, lets get back to the post. I got a call on Monday morning from O's pre-school, "school starts today is O coming?' says the voice on the phone. I could have sworn that she told me it started on Wen. So we grabbed his stuff and off to school he went (1 hour late). He did great, no tears, no clinging, just off he went. All day he would tell strangers "I go to skoo today" or "I go down da big slide". So glad he's happy
Ay started a day later than the other boys. Here they have K, 6th and 9th go a day early to find classes and get use to a new school before all the other kids get there. Ay is so excited because his best friend SITS RIGHT NEXT TO HIM in class. He is going to have a GREAT year. Why did I pose him right in front of the pole you ask? Well my camera was being weird and he was ready to get inside. Then I stepped in a pile of soggy, wet, gooey cut grass, so this is what I ended up with. It'll do :) and it's not like he can't take a cute picture no matter where he is!
Oh my, this was the hardest day of my life so far. I sent him to pre-school when he was 3 and did not shed a tear, sent him to 1st grade and did not shed a tear. Today when he told me that I could walk with him to school (but not cross the street) and watch him walk into Middle School.... I cried, my heart sunk a little bit. I can not believe how fast this amazing kid is growing up. He even said "love you mom, see you after school". He had a great day and said it was not near as bad as he thought it would be. Good Luck Em, you're movin' up in the world!
