A couple of weeks ago Greg was asked to ride as part of the Torch Run for the Special Olympics. He rode from Hogback to Shiprock, a short 9 miles with a 30mph headwind (UGH). He did great. The boys really cheered him on and were excited to see him ride in front of the SWAT Bearcat. Or maybe they were just excited beacuse I pulled them out of school 20min early.
About the beginning of May I decided I was tired of the crumby condition of my house. The paint is so faded and flaking off. Awhile back we took some pictures of some great paint colors of houses in Ouray. I decided it would take me all summer it seems I only have a little time here and a little time there. Instead of looking at the whole house, I just looked at one wall at a time. Yesterday I got the majority of the house done. Greg is going to have to do the doormer on Ay's window and the widowswalk. As Greg says "You're a clutz and you'll probably fall off the roof!" I ended up buying too much paint so we painted the garage as well. I am so happy with the colors. It makes the house look so clean! Now if we can find a bargan on comcrete and make a driveway, the house would be great!
This was the nasty condition of the East. Weeks of scraping, untill we took the grinder to it.
