Another SOCCER Season

One of my favorite things to do is to watch my boys play soccer. I really like Fall Soccer, the weather is usually really nice and the perfect temperature. Spring Soccer on the other hand, is usually so windy. This year it has stayed cold through the entire season. Today was our last game and we were freezing. Other than the crazy weather, I love soccer. Em is getting really good and improves with every game. Ay is still in the discovery stage of what you are supposed to be doing in a game. I think if he continues to play he will be a great defender.

Of course I have to put in a picture of my O. This is him sitting by the fence watching the game. Most of the time he is climbing the fence!

My #3

Couple of action shots

I like the speed in this one

Ay is not very agressive but sometimes he does get in there and really play.

OK, only a mom could love this shot. Ay running with his tounge in his nose. I have no idea how to get him to stop doing this. If anyone has any ideas please feel free to let me know. But Ay just wouldn't be Ay if I never said "Get your tounge out of your nose!"

I missed Ay's goal in this game. This was a great run that he had. I think he lost sight of the goal and kept going past it. You can really hear the wind blowing in these,
UGH I really don't like the wind!
Ay will never get in the pack and fight for the ball. If he sees the other team getting close to the goal, he will bolt towards it and play defender. In his age group there is no goalie, no one uses hands. You can defend your goal with your feet.

Love Em's footwork in this and 2 tries for a goal.

Em never had a goal in this game but had quite a few tries.

I was so sad to miss about half of our soccer season this year, but they still awarded us a trophy the size of Riis's head. Totally inappropriate for a four year old, right? Anyway, I love your love for soccer. The videos might induce me to put Riis in it again next season!
