Ouray CO

A weekend in Ouray CO was very well deserved and a great little get-away. I had to deliver a car load of artwork at the Ouray Alpine Art Show and so Greg and I decided to make a weekend of it. I had forgotten how amazing it is up there and what a neat little town it is. I think we walked to entire town about 8 times, did a couple of hikes, dodged the rain, and got some great pictures. Hope you enjoy.

Loved this sign and thought it was funny because the whole time we were on this hike I was thinking how much fun the boys would have.

This is the view from Box Canyon Falls

This is part of Boc Canyon Falls, it is so amazing.

This is Cascade Falls, another waterfall in the town, this one you can walk right up to.

Cascade Falls

Here is part of the town. The little tan building is for sale. Commercial property on the bottom and your house on the top, then there is a deck on the roof.... Artifacts 2 maybe?!

Wonder if these guys are afraid of hights? I actually took this picture for Jack, maybe this could be your next house... since you like living on the EDGE!
So we had to bring something home for the boys, sugar is good. But look closely at the suprise in the sucker...... or check the next photo.
Ya, REAL scorpions in the suckers...... and they are eatting them. Eeeewwwww

I have hiked around Ouray but never to those falls. I really missed out.

I am impressed you even bought those suckers, or maybe it was Greg's idea? That gives me ideas of fun things to do with the kids' popsicles. We have lots of fake bugs around here at least.
