Tonight was fun. The boy's cousins came over and stayed for awhile while their mom and dad had a nice quiet dinner. While they were enjoying the silence, I had the pleasure of not being able to hear myself speek with 5 little boys under the age of 9 running all over. I sat there at the dinner table and looked around and thought, this is crazy and it made me realize that I was really just fine with my 3 little guys. Now, I am not saying this was a bad experiance it was fine. The one thing that I have realized about boys is.... they constantly make noise. Whether it be cars, planes, fighting, sound effects, farts, burps, giggles, cries, whatever, there is just noise ALL the time. Even when they sleep they make noise. My guys talk in their sleep, snore, or hit the walls all night. They all seem to get along great and it is fun to watch them all interact with each other. For most of the night the 3 older boys played and the 2 little guys took turns taking naps. Here are a few pics of the evening. There is also 1 video, it is really dark but it is fun
(if you can see it!)
I like this photo of the 3 older boys and the 2 little guys just hangin out.

They were all playing together but they were all playing something different.
At this point they had stopped playing and watched a movie while C took a nap. Then we had dinner. I made pancakes in the shape of the letter of their name, with choc. chips I might add! After dinner it was back to making noise playing with cars.
O just couldn't take the excitement and decided to curl up with his lamb and take a time out!

I love boys at play. Except in one of the nurseries at church. Way too many ornery little boys if you ask me. There comes a point, ya know?
I have those moments, too, where I just sit and stare in wonder at the almost tangible noise. We have a part of the house where they can circle around the rooms and I often wonder...how many laps can they make today?
