I knew that when I had Em I would be faced to deal with all the things boys do. I didn't however realize how traumatic it would be on my heart when he (or any of the boys) would get hurt. Now I knew that there would be bumps and bruises and cuts and scrapes but there is nothing to prepare you for those "bad ones"! On Thurs. night I had to watch as my Em was riding his bike and ended up doing a face plant in the middle of the street. I could not sleep that night as I kept thinking of his poor face bouncing off of the asphalt (literally). It could however been so much worse and I cringe when I think of the could of's. Luckily he walked away with 2 gashes on his lip, one of which needed 3 stiches, a strawberry on his chin with 2 stiches, a scraped knee, a bruise and scrape on his side, a minor chiped tooth, and the hide taken off of all 4 fingers on 1 hand. Let's just say it was a "Good Crash", and one that his mother will not forget. He kept apologizing and saying "I'm so sorry mom", when all I could do was hug him. He is doing much better and can't wait to go to school to show his friends. He didn't go to school on Fri. because he was sucking food through a straw since his lips were so swollen. He was a trooper and I hope that it does not happen again anytime soon.

Oh no! Poor little guy! I can't imagine how horrible that would be to have to watch! Feel better soon, Emryck!
Give Em a hug from me and the girls. Aly says, "Emryck sad and has a owie. I give him kisses."
