So we spent part of our weekend in the LaPlata mountains. It is so nice to be able to drive for 45 min. and be in such a beautiful place. We love to pack a lunch and just go hang out. It rained and hailed on us but we still had a great time. It was foggy which made for dark and hazy pictures but you get the idea. We went up to the saddle and we were going to hike to Taylor Lake, but it hailed on us. So we decided to have our picnic in the back of the truck. Then we went to Tomahawk Mine to look around for a bit. Here are just a couple shots from our weekend.

This is us at Tomahawk Mine, (am I spelling that right?) It sure has deteriorated over the past few years. We go up often enough to really notice how the winter snow takes its toll on it.
This is our group shot. It is SO dark, but the view is great.

I love the La Platas! It is so beautiful up there. Even though the pictures are dark, you can tell it was amazing. How fun!
